77D8FB1A-5616-4774-8023-2F0CABDE5689.jpeg A absolute case queen that’s been upgraded with all of the goodies:

    Nordenbacker neck pickup.
    CA bridge pickup.
    Aceonbass harness with sozo capacitors.
    Zero mod thumb rest
    (OG p/g screws included).
    Pickguardian white pearloid pick guard.
    Tubeampoligy chrome pickup bezel.
OG Rickenbacker case, paperwork, pickguard, and treble bezel.
High quality stereo cable for Rick-o-sound included as well!

I traded for this bass a few years ago here on TB. The previous owner bought it new from Chicago Music Exchange and i received it in brand new condition. There is still not one scratch, nick, dent, or ding on it. The stock electronics just didn’t cut it for me so I went all out and the upgrades have made this Rick sound like it should with growl and clarity. The pickup cavities and pickguard have been copper shielded, so no unwanted noise. The nut, trussrods and bridge are set for low action without any unwanted buzz and all notes ring out nicely. I am positive that anyone wanting a “like new” rick that’s already been upgraded with these components will be tickled to own this bass.
It will be properly packed, insured, and shipped within the US for $1675.

This is just about every sensible mod that a 4003 can have. If I didn’t have one, I’d take this off your hands. Someone snag this!

    From aceonbass:

Wiring Harness for Rickenbacker 4001/4003 Basses with ROS Outputs and SoZo Tone Caps

I built this harness using components from some of the same suppliers that Rickenbacker also uses, and optimized it for use with the stock Hi-Gain, RIHS, or Toaster pickups. The tone caps are SoZo .047uF spec, which are basically a reproduction of the Ajax tone caps Rickenbacker used in the 60's, while the pickup selector switch and output jacks are made by Switchcraft. Unlike the factory harness, these pots are within 5% of rated spec, and matched in pairs to within 1% of each other. The tone pots are vintage style solid shaft 500K CTS with the dimpled back and exposed axles. The volume pots are the same with a 250K rating, and the output jacks are Switchcraft. It's all wired up with vintage style cloth insulated 22gauge wire. This harness is ideal for any Rickenbacker 4001 or 4003 with single coil pickups and Rick-O-Sound output jacks. I also have vintage style knobs at $12.00 a set to go with this harness. This harness is available with the vintage push-pull tone option for $10.00 more . I can build a custom harness for most Rickenbacker guitars and basses. Any questions, please ask!
