Questioning my sanity as I post this...

This is likely the finest monoscale bass I have ever played. I am blown away by the build, playability, and tone! Killer jazz bass and then some... Seriously fantastic!!

However I have a bad case of fanned fret fever (DAS is a powerful force), and I have a chance to pick up a special multiscale that I have been coveting since I first saw it.

    PO’s thread - SOLD - MTD Saratoga 5...Super Light

Original owner’s thread (with video links to similar bass with same woods & electronics ... warning, may cause spontaneous opening of wallet):
SOLD - MTD USA Saratoga 5 super light! PRICE DROP

**Edited - updated pics taken 5/17/19**

I will be sad to see this understated beauty go.

IIRC, the original owner picked this one out of six that were brought to 2016 NAMM. It’s special and the Barts package is versatile and sound wonderful.

Alder body, maple neck, Indian rosewood fretboard. Luminlay dots and side position markers.

Includes letter of authenticity signed by the man himself, MTD labeled Contego hybrid gig bag, mini charging light for the dots, and tools.

    $2800. USPS money order preferred.

*Edit 5/20/19 - I might consider select partial trades. Probably only the following ... or something of similar quality:

    High quality compressor pedals
    Mesa WD-800
    Jule tube pres/amps
    Noble tube pre
    RAD power amp
    MAS cabs
    Bergantino HG310
    AK Hathor cabs
    Mesa Subway 115
a nice Tele, Strat, or Les Paul

The ergonomics of this bass are just fantastic. It’s light, well balanced, and plays effortlessly. She plays even better than she looks!! I’ve just decided that the frets aren’t slanty enough for me.

Very organic and nice looking. Wish I had the funds right about now, because I'd be all over it. Good luck

Thanks man. I agree. I love the way it looks. Plays even better! No hyperbole- this is one of the nicest instruments that I have played. Fan-freaking-tastic!!

Hubba, hubba. I saw Robben Ford a few years ago and his then
bassist was playing a Saratoga. Great sound.
    Your gonna miss it.

Copied from Original owner’s thread: “I’ve had a few requests for sound clips. This clip on YouTube is the same wood spec.”

“It’s only in passive mode. But you get the idea. The B Axis pickups are brighter IMO and less colored than the regular Bart’s.”
