24 fret necks?

    does anybody make replacement 24 fret necks?

    Warmoth does, but I am sure you can get just about any luthier to for the right price. If you are lookin to replace a precision or jazz neck I would go for a warmoth, BUT there is no garantee that the 24th fret area will be easily playable unless you only plan to tap. Most companies cut the heel of the body to accomodate that trouble spot like elrick for instance.

    im sorry... i was not specific, I'm very tired. I'm talking about a neck with 24 frets to the heel of the neck, not an overhanging fretboard.

    If the bass that you are wanting to put it on did not originally have 24 frets, it will not intonate correctly, unless you move the bridge. And there may not be room to move it as much as will be needed.

    the bass has 24 frets, but has poor fretwork...

    I think that Carvin may sell 24 fret necks.
