I just saw online a guy selling this bass for around $250 and I was thinking that maybe it was a good deal. What are your opinions on this bass? Should I buy it?
Some people won't think it is worth it for the following reasons: It doesn't say Fender on the headstock. Too many strings. String / bridge spacing. It looks odd. Chrome hardware. The price. The feel. The sound. The color. Some people will think it is worth it for the following reasons: It doesn't say Fender on the headstock. Too many strings. String / bridge spacing. It looks odd. If it plays well and there are no issues I'd say it's definitely worth it. The ones on ebay are much more expensive than that.
it's hard to see the bridge in that pic - looks to be an older Rockbass model without the Just-a-nut and upgraded gardware/pups. ... in which case, that's not a terrible deal, prob about right. However if you can find one of the newer Rockbass models with the above features, they're generally much better.
If you look in close on the bridge you can clearly see the strings leaving the saddles to the tail piece. And this one has the classic W breadstick logo meaning it's a newer rockbass. I say go for it, that's a great deal
I bought a Warwick Starbass Rockbass I A-B the $1000 Starbass Rockbass with the $4000 German Starbass they had the same Pick ups the same tuning keys they sounded the same as far as I could tell, the only deference was the wood used under the paint and the paint , the rock star bass is cream white and the German is bright white. I think the Rockbass line is a great buy for a good bass
I have had the Corvette $$ Rockbass in the past. While it was a great bass, and you can't find much as a better option for the money, it didn't compare to the German Corvette that I already owned. You really do notice the quality jump
I have one...bought it for $500....and that was a deal! I really like the fortress and I really like those pickups. One of the best sounds out there. One thing......mine has got to weight about 13 pounds.... So what's keeping you?
The Fortress is the most comfortable shape Warwick ever produced. It balances perfectly and looks distinctive.
I think it would be a great deal. Loved mine. It was the perfect any gig, any time anywhere bass and the actives were more than suitable for what I was doing. Mine was destroyed when it took a 11 foot fall into a concrete orchestra pit.
Mexico mate, musical instruments are more expensive than in the US which sucks for musicians who are looking for an upgrade from cheap Squier and Epiphone basses or guitars( I know there are good quality Squier and Epiphone instruments). I currently have an Epiphone Thunderbird Classic IV as my one and only and I feel that another bass wouldn´t hurt. Right?
