250watt at 4ohms 500 watt 2ohm

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by semborg, Mar 18, 2005.

  1. I am going to buy Yamaha bbt 500 with 2x10 + 1x10.
My question is, will it output 500watts at 2ohm, or 250 watts at 4ohm.
It is 2 cabinets, both at 4 ohm.

A friend told me that the amp is going to work in 500watts if I connect both cabinets to the amp. Instead of going 250watts with just one cab.

    Is he right?

  5. Yes I will. I have tested it in like 20 minutes in the Store. (With 2x10 cab). Really good amp, with very good "sound types" to build sound on.

5 eq knobs, ALL with variable frequences and variable bandwith!

And o my god, it is so small!, and it doesnt weight much.
Really easy to transport. Specially with 2x10 + 1x10.
1x10 is really compact and cute :smug:
