I saw an offer for a peavey bass stack consisting of:

probass 1000 preamp (small defect on gain knob)
    Peavey mark 5 power-amp, 2*250 watt
cabinet peavey 1*15 and 2*8 inch

    costing 750 Euro

    Is this a good buy?
I don't know this gear. Can anyone tell me something about it or give me some links to sites where I can find information about them

You can go to http://www.peavey.com and search the manuals for info.

Select the "manuals" radio button, then enter "probass" and
"mark V" in the search textbox. I'm not sure which Mark V you're
    looking at (M7000 maybe?).

The cab is a model "1516". I don't think there's a manual for that one.
Several online retailers are selling them used. They go for between
    $250USD to $300USD (~256€ to ~308€ )

Thanx for the info notduane. I see you got an 1820 and some peavey amps, do you like them?

I found out the poweramp is a m7000.

Anyone knows what the pre and poweramp should cost?

Anyone uses this stuff? Reviews please.

    no problem :).

HAD that P/V 1820, M3000, and "Bass" amp. Not to mention
    a P/V active crossover (couldn't find a pic) and a Ric 4080-12.

The whole mess wound up in a pawn shop for 10¢ on the dollar .

It was a pretty sweet, full range rig for the Ric doubleneck.

The 18" was sometimes a bit overpowering. A little EQ tweaking
    solved that problem.
