I've tried over a dozen Fodera's in my search for specs for my own custom build. Well, this is the bass that won -- tonally. So I put my deposit down with Phil last month and spec'd my custom based on this wood combo but at standard scale. The action on this bass is the lowest of any Fodera I've played with NO buzz. Condition is excellent as you can see from the pics. Any surface scratches are hard to photograph. These are out of production and the price for a custom build with these features would be $11,180 + shipping. $7650 shipped (conus) and paypal'd $7450 shipped (conus) and paypal'd Dropped to $7250 shipped (conus) and paypal'd No Trades but cash offers welcome. With the bass tuned E-C, will it need a new nut or a modification to the nut in order to tune it B-G?
looks like your PM inbox is full, @capnsandwich Phil at Fodera suggested I just have my luthier widen the current nut for B-D but the other options are to have another nut cut by a luthier or send it to fodera to cut a new nut which I believe would run a couple hundred bucks (plus shipping). feel free to clear up your inbox and pm me if you want to continue the discussion.
