2x12 vs. 1x15 vs. 4x10

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by bassman1185, Feb 18, 2003.

  1. OK, I'm thinking of getting an Avatar stack one of these days, and I'm not sure what setup I should get. My choices are these: 1x15 and 4x10, 1x15 and 2x12, or a 4x10 and 2x12. I use a 5 string, and I do give the B string a workout, so low end is important. I play harcore/metal, and I'll probably be dring my stack with a Sanamp RBI and power amp.

the 4x10 is so versatile. you can always add a 15" to that if you need more bottom rumble. gotta have 10s...(just my opinion :D )

    4x10 and 1x15. :D
  4. Well, the 4x10 and 1x15 was sort of my first choice, but I got to thinking about the interview with Traa Daniels from POD, who is my tone idol. He said that he uses 4x10s and 2x12s for his stage rig.

mind you the eden 212's don't go as low as their 410 cabs (or the lower avatar 212 for that matter)...

they are a strange breed those eden 212 xlt's
