The attached pictures are of a bass which I've owned for twenty years with no major repairs since the initial restoration. The repairman (John Stewart of Hampton, NH) applied varnish over the original finish but he says it could be removed if one were really determined to have it that way. The bass sounds great, plays easily but I've had enough so it is time to pass it on to someone else. It but it is well made with a beautiful tiger maple back. String length is 40 1/2" I haven't really determined a firm price so I guess I'd have to talk with potential buyers but I'm thinking in the area of $15,000. I'm in NH about one hour north of Boston,MA.
