    Hey everyone,

I played a gig last night and saw an instrument I am not familiar with. It was a jazz band and the "bassist" was play an instrument that had 3 bass string and 4 guitar strings. It appeared to be similar to a guitar in scale and sounded great.

I tried searching here and google but any keywords In used lead me know where. I know someone on TB knows/plays one of these.

    Thanks! :hyper:

Yes it was definitely similar to this but without the fanned frets. Any Idea what these are tuned to? Seems like you would need to run stereo to a bass and guitar rig to make it work unless I am missing something. (I could not see the bassists rig last night from where I was standing)

Charlie Hunter runs his stereo and tunes it EAD (bass) ADGBE (guitar)
