I'm thinking of either doing a Cocobolo top or 1 of these 3 Buckeye Burl tops through Devon Smullen and Devon's Bass Guitars. He has 3 very nice tops and has made some amazing Buckeye basses in the past. I want to hear from TB land on their thoughts of the nicest Buckeye top for my build.

4 out of 5 participants in your previous poll chose something other than these Buckeye Burl tops, now you want to know how we feel about them? I think the masses have already spoken, lol.

Just choose the one you want and call it a day.

I chose #1. I'd dig a bass with that "high-contrast" effect. #2 is pretty cool in a "We Are Now Entering The Mutara Nebula" kinda way and would be my second choice, but it's rare to see such a stark difference in visual tones on one body without it being a multi-piece neck-thru.
