what do you think SX or some other company should make for cheap?

3 things i'd want would be:

-hollow body bass (like what epiphones make)
    -Reliced basses
-fretless (no lines) Jazz and P basses.

I like youre ideas, but dont expect a relic. The other two would be sweet.

An SX Thunderbird would be sweet! Along with a Ripper, and a Rivoli knockoff!

Probably the same as Rickenbacker would, have it discontinued.

For starters, a REAL 5-string, not 5 strings jammed into the same spacing as a standard 4-string.

A Real three string just for the fun and oddness of it all, A bass with three Pbass pickups and a triple neck bass.

Or a triple neck of three three string basses with three P pickups each.

Sure, a P-bass is a hard design to get wrong, easy to make and there are tons of replacement parts for them so it is a sure win:meh:

Exactly!!! I'm so jealous of those nice natural bodies, inlay necks and pickup/bridge covers all going on Jazz basses...

More precision choices, more spare parts choices, especially pickguards, necks with block markers. Less vintage tint, more satin neck finish.

More P bass colors, and NO NEW HEADSTOCK. Straight up P's not P/J's.

Should have grabbed the silver one when I had the chance.

The proposed headstock is enough to turn me off from getting any more.

Then maybe a Bongo like was photochopped on April fools day. :)

Mike Lull is building Thunderbird basses. I don't think Gibson has any legal pull in the matter, especially given what recently happened to Fender.
