    Hi All!

I'm a guitarist that's moving over to the dark side ;)

I need a giggable amp and have no more than 300 pounds to spend. I'm more than happy to go for something used, really don't mind!

I'd ideally like a head and cab, but if not then my general combo preference is for a 2x10" if possible.

    Open to ideas though!

    Thanks in advance!

    Cheers,
    James

I will start the replies off by saying Ashdown
either a MAG series combo, maybe second hand if you want the 2x10 or the Electric Blue range, new although they only do it in 1x12 or 1x15.

one of the cheapest places to find Ashdown and many others is

Peavey head, max450 or max700 (nitro or firebass) with a 2x10 cab, would do nicely !

What's a Quid? Is that slang for a "Queen's Dollar" or something? HAHAHA! Kinda like a "Buck" is a Dollar in America?

    That's the one... ;)

Well, I've got the head sorted at least, scored an old Laney on eBay - I love old laney stuff, not very fashionable, but always works a treat.

Now just the cabinet(s) to get hold of!

    Cheers,
    James
