I''m going to buy some basses!

One bass that I'm going ot get for sure is a 4 string HH Bongo, I played one last week and was completely blown away by it.

Now I'm debating on what else to add to the stable......

There is a local shop with a USA Lakland Glaub for $1600....hmmmm

  2. That's pretty much what I'd spend it on: A Bongo and A Lakland Glaub!

bongo is a great choice, I would suggest getting another ebmm :) once you go ebmm..well, you know

Thats a lot of cash too, how bout a new amp? Amp is just as important.

and pstt, id rather own one good quality bass than 20 sx's :p

I'm pretty happy with my amp, I've been through lots of them and my Mesa 400+ always puts a smile on my face.

    I think I'll stay away form the 20 sx's.

Maybe a bongo and HH Stingray.....

Thats the spirit. Better yet, get a HH stingray and a single H bongo. The single humbucker bongos are amazing.

You cant get a musicman tone without a musicman. :) Close, but nope. And how exactly is he going to afford a lakland usa model and a sadowsky? he cant even afford a Sadowsky alone. (excluding metros, which still run you 2000)

If you keep your eyes open, you can find good deals on alot of gear. Also he never said it has to be brand new.

the only thing I plan on buying new is the Bongo and maybe Stingray HH, but I have no problem with used whatsoever.

I was even looking at some 70's J-basses.

Actually man, I'm kidding. It's the combination of a good month of business for me (I'm a mortgage broker), and my tax return form Uncle Sam.
