31 band eq or 2x10 cab?

    hey all
    im searching for "that" slap tone and i am contemplating buying either a 31 band EQ or 2x10 cab. which do you think would be the best to get, for a good slap tone?
    my amp is an ashdown and a 15" cab at the minute.

    All the EQ in the world is of no use if your speaker can't reproduce the frequency band that you're sending it. Get a 2x10.

    In fact, I am looking for a 2x10 as well, although I am trying to replace a 4x10.

    Another ditto. Tens are usually quicker, brighter, and punchier, and that's why they tend to sound better for slappin'.
