34" B strings

Discussion in 'Strings [BG]' started by Maurice ElDarko, Nov 2, 2001.

  1. Wondering what a good string set and gauge would be for my 6 string, bearing in mind it's 34" so I'm thinkin something thick

The one's the put on it when they shipped her out were really light and they B is crap and hard to tune. I played the same bass in the shops floor stock and the strings were much tighter.

    Any thoughts

I use Elites on my EB MM 5 I did use a 130 but went to 125 and prefer it. Anyway your thread gets bumped.

get some DR low riders. They have the hex cores so they are tighter. I would also recommend a .130 B string since its thicker and tighter.

    Low riders + .130 B = one tight ass B string. :D ;)

non-taper cored b's are going to be much harder to tune and intonate properly.

i would suggest giving Dean Markley sr2000's a try - they've worked wonderfully for me.
