I am unsure what exact model of electronics is in this bass but Ive been told it was made especially for this bass for MTD by Bartolini. zero fret I have generic hard shell case for it that I will sell with the bass for $350 or just the bass for 300.00 Its up to you! There are only a couple minor blemishes on the bass. Its in great shape. I can do paypal. I have a verified address. CONUS & Canada only. Shipping is not included. I am not sure what the cost is for shipping but it is negotiable. I would be interested in discussing a trade of a tech21 VT bass pedal plus some money if anyone is open to that. This is my first for sale post on TB but I do have a 100% feedback rating on Ebay see pastorofmuppets03 More pics upon request.
Still available. Also going on ebay today. This is a great bass. Less than 400 for this bass is a steal IMO. Asking 300 for bass only or 350 for bass and case. Plus 20-30 for shipping. Please see this link for pics:
Depending on what you're used to playing you might not notice any difference. If, for example, you play Warwicks you will probably be used to reaching a bit further to get to a low F. You'll notice more of a difference if you're used to playing Fender-style instruments (with upper horns that reach as far as the twelfth fret) but even then, I don't find the extra inch to be much of an issue. I've played plenty of basses where I honestly couldn't tell if they were 34" or 35".
i offer you 500dollar shipped to Belgium. But you dont ship it.. do you ? (i respect your statement, but i can just try..) Did you all know that Gail Ann Dorsey owns 3 of them.. ? Did you all know that this is a 'must have' bass ? Did you all know that these early Grendels are sought after ? The 'MTD' Grendels arent as good as these pre-MTD ones. It amazes me that this is the second one on e-bay at the moment and there isnt hardly any intrest in buying them. I'll have a few someday, a 4- and a 5 -string, and they would make a great pair with my basses that are 10 times more expensive !
The scale is 34" I didnt measure until last night. My friend told me it was 35" and it felt that way. I was wrong not to do that.
I own 2 Grendels. A 2001 and an older one. The older one just like the picture above is only 34" scale. The newer one is 35" scale. I was under the impression the older ones were 34" scale. I didn't know until i measured it myself.
it was an honest mistake. I sincerely apologize for misleading anyone. It was not my intention. The bass was bought last night on ebay. I may have to refund the money since I was wrong on the scale.
