35", wide spacing, StingRay sounding... choices?

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by Chad Michael, Feb 28, 2004.

  1. Near as I can tell, the Lakland 55-02 is an excellent choice, and the MTD Kingston is also.

My current basses lack the 35", the StingRay sound, and one is narrow (5/8") spaced (((Grrrr!!!))).

So when my tax return arrives, I'll be shopping and I appreciate your opinions.

Gotta be a 35", 11/16 or 3/4" spaced, and do a good job of cloning the StingRay sound. And not cost much (prefer to only spend $600 - $700, but may spend up to $1000.) By the way, this will be a working instrument that will be played for wage and end up smelling like a smoky lounge.

    Thanks in advance. :)
