Well, it's come time for me to restring my new DeArmond 5-string for the first time... I would like to go with D'Addario Prisms, but they only make them in 34" and 36" scale, and, of course, I have a 35" scale bass. Obviously, the 34" probably won't work, but I was wondering if the 36" would work or not. The reason I'm going for the Prisms is I really liked them on my fretted four, which I sold a while ago, and have been playing fretless exclusively until now.

Free free to let me know if you know any good 35" scale strings, cause the only other ones I saw were the Fenders that were made for the DeArmond basses, and are the ones that my bass probably came with.

    Thanks in advance!

Extra-longscale strings (36") should work fine.

  3. Yeah, the 36" will be fine, you'll just have to cut them to the desired length.
