3hole j-bass control plate?

    i'm looking for a 3hole jazz bass control plate. i know they exist b/c they're on the '62 reissues. anyone know where i can find one? i need it for a bass i'm building. thanks in advance.

    Allparts has them. Oh, wait. Do you mean three holes plus the jack or three holes total?

    3holes total. 2 knob holes+jack hole...hehehe...jack hole.

    If you (or any of your friends) have any metal-working expertise you could make one out of whatever you want. Brushed stainless steel might look cool.

    Look for "stack-knob jazz bass control plate" and you should get a bunch of hits.

    Bass Parts Resource has actual fender ones (yes stack-knob). Look them up on the web.

    I seem to remember that Mike Lull sometimes makes J-basses with stack knobs. Maybe he'd sell you one.

    Edit: Just saw a couple for sale on Ebay.
