Now’s Your Chance to Buy One of Jerry Garcia’s Iconic Guitar Pedals OK, I'm a pretty big Jerry fan and one of my band's set list is about a third Dead, the other only does 4-6 Dead tunes. But 4,650 for a pedal that has had parts salvaged out of it? You could buy alot of functional pedals for that much change. If you can't afford a genuine broken filter you can follow the links to other Dead items and bid on a genuine wrench that was used by the Dead crew! JERRY GARCIA'S pedal. Except that is NOT and original MU-TRON pedal but a dreaded HAZ labs unauthorized rip off that some fool is pawning off to another tool.
I'm guessing whoever wrote the news article did not like the pics of the dirty, broken pedal in the actual eBay post so they went searching for a pic and ended up with the HAZ labs version.

@StereoPlayer @BurningSkies fools and their monies are best parted ways. No reflection meant to the previous owner.
If this was the actual pedal or one of the pedals that was used for the iconic envelope sound that Jerry used in the late 70's and early 80's I can see a collector buying this. It's not aimed at a player in the least.
@bassbrad I never said I wanted it or what a “good” deal it was...not. I just pointed out some misunderstandings about the OP and added an actual pic to the thread.
P.T. Barnum is purported to have said: "There's a fool born every minute...and two born to take 'em."
