so I just got a ampeg 4/10 hlf cab and it's 4 ohms. I have a Hartke lh 1000 head. It's only a 4 ohm head if I bridge it but then it's a 1000 watts, too much for that cab. Is there a way to use this head and cab together??

  2. Put it on one side only

  3. Use the gain and master to control the volume. When you are pushing the cab, listen for a change in character of the sound indicating the cab is being stressed (fart-out, harshness, etc). When you hear that, turn it down until it sounds normal.

So is that using the speak on connection or the 1/4 connection??

  5. Don't own one, so I would be guided by the owners manual for connecting cab(s) in unbridged mode.

ETA - Quick look at online specs shows YES use the 1/4 output for either A or B, and make the sure the amp is not bridged.
