$400 limit

    im in desperate need of a new bass..

    im looking into a yamaha rbx 774(5) and a yamaha rbx 374(5)

    but cant find any under what im looking for.. well the 5 strings either way.. i have to fit shipping and tax with in the $400..

    id like input from anybody on decent basses for that much cash...

    i play all kinds of music.. from queen-manson - tool

    so anyhelp please :)

    Try an old Ibanez Roadstar... or an older Peavey.
  4. So you want six strings? Go with the Brice over at rondomusic. They have some awesome basses for the money. Plus you will have some left over for other gear. If not, how about a spector performer?

  6. +1 on the brice there is an Essex Mega thread (Essex, Brice, and another one starts with an A) all have the same parent company, and that thread has alot of info just use the search function. Really good basses I'm looking into a fretless very soon.

    The basic cort curbow is a 4 string for 350 - 400 quid... the 5 string might be not much more... quite a strong versatile guitar id say... but i am a n00b
  10. How about an Ibanez Roadgear? They seem to be very cool for very low prices.
