400+ output jacks?

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by Rockbobmel, Oct 19, 2002.

  1. Just got my 400+ yesterday. This thing sounds much better to me than my SVT did. It seems to be much tighter too. Maybe couse the master vol.

Anyway, I am a little confused with the speaker output jacks. There are 2+1 above on the 4 ohm side, and same for 8 ohm side. I used 2 8 ohm cabs and daisy'd them into one of the 4 ohm jacks and it worked fine. But is the top one for 2x4ohm dais cabs for a 2 load? If so, is the upper on the 8ohm side for 2x8ohm for a 4 ohm load?

Are the bottom jacks for running 2 single cabs that are equipped with only 1 jack?

I just want to make sure that I don't screw anything up.

    Thanks, Bob.

If you run a single 8 ohm cab, plug it into one of the 8ohm jacks. If you run two 8 ohm cabs, plug them both into the 4 ohm jacks. And so forth. The total load determines where you plug them in.
