This is a very stupid question, and I am sorry for taking your time, but should the standby do anything. When I flip mine on, I don’t get any lights, the fans doesn’t kick in, and the tubes don’t do glow or anything. Is my amp screwed up? It has never given me problems but am I hurting it?

I have no idea what the standby would do on a 400+ but on my SVT 2 Pro when it is on standby the fan comes on, the front panel lights come on and the tubes glow.
  3. Um....is your amp on?

Yes it does have power. There is however a noticeable effect when Itake it off standby
