Does anyone make a 412 cabinet in the style of a slant front Marshall that can handle the abuse of today's higher powered amps?

The Peavey TVX412 has 2 rows of 2 12s like a marshal 4x12, but it is a flat front, and will handle mucho power. But I don't think they make them anymore........maybe used?

Steve Harris uses Marshall 4x12's loaded with Electro-Voice EVM12Ls.

    I run a Marshal 1935 Bass 4x12 w/Eminence V12 Legends.
w/ 120w per speaker so I have 480w, plenty of headroom for the 100w Superbass MK II im running.

Don't know how it would fare w/my boogie M2K though.

Yeah, if you're set on this configuration, call Don Oatman @ LDS, www.LowDownSound.com . He'll make you a beaut.

    You pick the drivers.

If I was watching clams but still wanted a great cab, I'd go Eminence Delta Lite II 2512s. 1000 RMS box.

If I didn't need to pay as close attention to bread, I might do two Faital Pro 12PR300s & two Eminence Kappa Lite 3012LFs. 1500 RMS cab.

Would need a crossover on this one, though, probably around 1.5kHz. The Faitals get you to 5kHz @ 99dB SPL, while the 3012LFs provide 9.1mm Xmax! Serious air movement.

the vbc412 is straight front only, i think. i'm not sure anybody makes "a" style bass 4x12's NOW. but as stated there are marshall cabs out there that were intended for bass that have the slant front.

I'm going to check with LDS about a complete custom build. I have this crazy idea for a real "show" rig and don't wanna say anything until it's done. Going to take a few months to afford all the customization of the cabinet and a live in road case and other custom parts that will make it all come together. When it does, you guys will be the first to know!
