    Looks very nice. I wish they were available when I bought my 44-02 DLX 'cause if thay were I'd have a 44-01 DLX. :):p

    I'm curious. Why would you rather have the 44-01 over the 44-02? Cost? electronics?

    I had a 55-01 & I think it sounded ALOT better then the 55-02 or the USA series 5 strings.

    The 44-02 that I owned did sound really nice in my band setting, though. Nice & warm but I like the aggressiveness from my Sadowsky's better.

    Did your 55-01 have the upgraded preamp? I've heard that the 55-01 pups with the 55-02/USA preamp is a winnning combo.

    P.S. I had a 55-94 and I agree the 55-01 sounds better. :meh:
