4U or 6U ?

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by AllodoX, May 12, 2002.

  1. Ok.. here's the deal.. i've got some rackmount stuff..

    - Amp ( 2U )
    - Compressor ( 1U )
    - Tuner ( 1U )

so that's 4U together.. but i want to add some more stuff later on

    - Behringer Sub-harmonix synth ( 1U )
    - Samson powerbright rackmount powersupply + light ( 1U )

the problem is.. i dunno when to buy these.. so what do you think ?

    A) buy a 4U rack and get a 6U when i have the other FX ?
    b) buy a 6U rack and keep the 2u empty untill i get the FX ?

Get the 6U and put spacers in the empty spots.

  3. Get the 6u so you'll have the extra space available right away when it is needed.

    get the 6U, that's what I did, and I'm a f%$king genius. :D ;)

  5. 6U

This way you can even have space to cool your amp.

And the best reason: you can then add a 9U and have a 69 rack. What more could you ask for in life?
