I am dead set on getting a 4x10 cabinet. Im done with having multiple cabinets. I found some I liked but they are 8ohm not 4ohm.

What's the difference in between having a head going into a 4ohm cab against going into a 8ohm cab?

    Will one be louder?

    Will one sound better?
  2. You seem to be going around in circles with this. Get two 8 ohm 2x10 and carry one in each hand, case closed. 4 tens vertically stacked sounds the same for a large part of the room, unlike a quad beaming away merrily.

To answer the question, not enough data! It depends on the 4x10 and how much power you have available. No matter, pair of 2x10 rules.

The difference between an 8 ohm vs 4 ohm 410, given plenty of power, will be negligible. Always best to use 8 ohm cabs, unless your amp has very little power, ie less than 200 watts.
  4. +1, get the 8 ohm cab.
