who can tab this out for me. Remember I dont have all those fancy triggers, so you'll have to tab out how many times I have to turn each tuner up or down. Thanks friends.

Definitely one of my most favorite of Mr. Manrings songs. I can't remember...something like 14 different tunings in this song. How does a mind even conjure up something like this? Musical genuis is a term that really should be used sparingly, but what other term describes this?

So does this mean you're up for the challenge? We can definitely negotiate a better price? :)

Boring. It might make a good background track to a Star Trek scene in an alien restaurant, but outside of that, it did nothing for me whatsoever.

I have heard Micahel talk about using different tunings. He says something along the lines of "while the bass may be in different tunings the notes he is using are still the same."

I love this song. I got the chance to see Manring a few years back but, sadly, had to leave the show early.

Writing a tab for something like this would be a nightmare. Even the sheet music would leave you feeling so confused without knowing about all the tuning tricks.

I don't think it would be extremely difficult to transcribe using standard notation.

Just ask Michael on his "Ask A Pro" forum here on TB. Or better yet, book a lesson and/or living room concert with him.

And yes, I know what forum this is posted in. [IMG]

I'm afraid that even after he transcribed it, i'd still fail at pulling it off.

Wow. I recently put a single drop-d tuner on my jazz and have difficulty remembering what notes I'm playing when I'm using it...
