  1. I'm considering the purchase of a 5-String Bass. What would you all recomend? Keep in mind that I'm a poor bastard, so i need something good, but affordable. Thanks

A 2001 MIM standard J 5 string. its improved over the old models and will keep you under $400. I own one and like it as much as my MIA fenders. good luck! Tony ;)

    MTD Kingston 5

    $450 brand new

    Plays and sounds real nice

Best B string in its price range

  4. A little more expensive, at $700, but an EDC705.

And AllodoX will agree with me.:D

There are also some De Armond Pilot Pros and Standards that for $400 to $600, depending on which model you get.

    Rock on
