  3. Yamaha BB605, at musiciansfriend.com for $399. Best bass for the money by far unless you go used Fender.

I have a Ibanez SR305DX that I have been playing for about 6 months now.I paid $350 for it and I can say that, for the money,I am happy.Low-end 5-strings are going to be just that.L0w-end.But if you look into basses at the upper end of your price range, you will have a pretty decent selection.Used 5-strings for $500 might be a better way to go.

I can find Cort , Ibanez , Yamaha , Jackson.
In fact i will trade my epi LP electric...very new.
cherry burst colour.wiht hard original hard case.
i bought it 560 Usd 2 years ago.
So i will have to sell it for around 350 Usd i guess...
the only shop thatcan trade my epi LP has

    Hello

.I got a 4 string cheap bass guitar.
I ordered a swamp ash body for it from my custom
    guitar maker.
The problem is : i decided to buy a 5 string and sell
my 4 string.I live in Turkey.Everything is more expensive here.
I will also trade my Epiphone LP electric guitar for my DREAM 5 string bass.
But i dont know which brand to buy ?
I want easy playable NECK. Not wide not fat ....
    comfortable neck...
So i will buy smth around 350 or 450 USD
But i will change its body to Swamp ASH.
In this case the neck and the pickups matter more.
What do u suggest me to buy ?
Or is it better to have a 4 string bass and a 5 string bass seperately ?
I guess just one bass guitar with 5 string would be
    enough for me...
    Peace

Check your local dealers to see if Dean guitars are sold in your area. The Dean Edge 5 is in about your price range, and it's a very nice bass. I love my fretless one.
