5 String Fender

    I have seen the Jazz 5 string, but i have never seen a 5-string percision bass, does one exist, would a pic be possible?

    Minor detail: I believe the current Fender Precision fiver has 4+1 headstock config, not 5-inline.

    Yea they have em out..but they only have the American deluxe p bass in 5 string version.

    I wish they made a passive version with only the P pickup.

  8. the two string retainers look really ugly IMO,
    I'd prefer they just used the 3string one for the E,A and D strings (as on the Fender Reggie Hamilton signature Jazz/precision hybrid)- the angles for the B and G should be fine without one.
    -or they used a 5string hooked retainer as on Wals.

    I was just going to say that I'm glad that they placed a string tree over the B. I only say this because I recall that the Bs we're somewhat floppy on the early Fender 5s which didn't have string trees; the last Fender FMT that I tried had a decent B, and it had a tree on the B.

    Yes, they're aren't that great looking though. The trees on the Sadowskys and the newer Lakland 5s have a more streamlined appearance.
