I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for Fender to make one. Not enough demand for it.

Well, if you're going to do a jag 5: that's the way to do it. Purty bass.

    Nice indeed!

  8. Beautiful Instrument, congrats.
How did you get it to work with 4 string pickups, is it narrow?

I am in the process of making one. It will be a ThunderJag. A Jaguar body with a p-bass neck, 1 Thunderbird pickups, and a 5 string bridge. I will probably wire it passive VVT. I will put on straplocks. I already have some of the parts. The body just came in the mail yesterday.

Oh ya ... I almost forgot. I have so many basses that I forget what I have. Here is a 5 string jag that I did a few years ago.

    jag0002.

    jag0011.

Here it is with a fretless neck ...

I've never seen the appeal of the jaguar shape but this is stunning.

So Fender has introduced a 5 string Jaguar as part of the new Vintage Modified Series by Squire. :hyper:

The specs look good. Nice colour choices. It's a PJ configuration which is nice to see for a change. Street price to be approx. $250.00

Gonna add one to the crew.

Ah busted ... that will teach me to post after just reading the first post ...

Oh well it is nice eye candy.

I did buy a red jag body with a black pickguard. I am going to make it a 5 string with 2 t-bird pickups. I will put on a maple neck with black block inlays. I will probably use a lot of black hardware.
