Help, I'm about to get my 5 string cherry popped! Any words of advice fellow TBers?
I have some words if no one else will get this thread started.
Good luck and have fun with the extra low end. That B really gives you some BOOM!!
Oh yeah.............stay away from the Soundgears I have one and I love the neck but the electronics are just sub-par. The only reason I own it is because I got a great deal on it and was 14 at the time so I had no money.
I just got my first 5 string yesterday, i love it, i haven't touched my 4 since. Just jump right into it, im not finding the extra string too hard to get used to. The biggest thing is you have to change is your technique for muteing
It's a Lakland so I'll be fine or let's say the Bass will!
5s are nice you don't have to tune down if your guitarist does. I like my steinberger 5. You might want to make sure your gear can reproduce the low b.
It's not as hard as it seems.
You will come to love the D and E on the B string, and will miss them when you return to the 4. Enjoy.
