   I have no idea which is best for me. I'm going to buy a new bass guitar I play mostly metal. Whats best for me a 4 sting active bass or a 5 string passive? Give me your advice please.

   Seems like an odd comparison to me. Why not compare a 5 sting active to a 5 string passive, or a 4 sting active to a 4 string passive?

    if you tune down alot get a 5 string if you dont i would keep a 4 string
