Which 5 string bass is best.
I have a 4 string...
Whats your price range? That would help alot.
DONT GET A ROGUE. horrible instrument. i wouldnt touch one with a 100 ft. pole.
The one that fits your hands, your shoulders, your back, your ear and your budget.
Never mind brand.
Well this is a ridiculous poll, but shouldn't it be in "Basses" anyway rather then Misc - c'mon consign it to oblivion!
Having such a limited choice, I choose Fender. However, I would expand your selection. As mentioned, what is your budget? Yamaha makes a good 5 string, Ernie Ball makes an awesome 5 string. Ibanez, Spector, Schecter, Dean, and countless others offer great 5 string basses for under a grand.
Ibanez Soundgear fives suck. The BTB series is supposed to be a lot better.
Spector and Warwick make wonderful 5 strings, but my favorite is Conklin's 5s. Anyway out of that list I picked Fender... Rogue is just EVIL.... bad... bad.... horrible... Rogues aren't even good enough to do upgrades on mainly because the wood they use is just sooo bad.
Are Rouge basses made by Rouge Nations?
Well what I've heard is Rogue basses are made by a overseas company (Korean I think), and are made specifically to be cheap.
I've played a soundgear five, and Bassman1185 is sort of right, the low end models are nothing special. The high end soundgears are decent, but the BTB is by far a superior bass. The tone is gorgeous and it plays really nice.
on the whole, Ibanez makes a good bass
