'51 Precision or Tele or Stack J for '51 project?

I'm about to start yet another project. The neck/body platform is will be a 1951-style (slab) body and maple neck with the Tele-style headstock. The neck will likely come from Allparts and the body from Warmoth. My only real dilemma is the pickup. My choices to go under the chrome cover are as follows:

    1) single-coil Precision pup (like the '51)
    2) stack-coil neck Jazz pup
    3) stack-coil Precision pup (like the '51, but humbucking)
    4) my dual-Jazz Dimarzio-esque (Kramer) pup
    5) some sort of chrome Tele bass-style pup in its stock position near the neck

Before I decide to order the body, I'd like some input on the following:

    1) Is the '51 cover wide enough to fit over a Jazz neck pup?
    2) Does anyone even make a stack-coil '51 pup?
    3) Where can I find some recordings with a single-coil P-bass? I don't know for certain that I've ever heard this bass recorded.

I'm leaning toward the '51, because I have Jazz and (split)Precision basses already. I think I'd like something different. What do they sound like, as best anyone can describe on a message board?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

    I've never come across a stacked '51 style pick-up.
