'57 reissue P-Bass question... Please help!

    Hello, today I bought a used 57 P reissue. I believe it's a '99. It's got some miles on it, but sounds pretty darn good. But, after I took off the pickup cover, I noticed that the pole pieces in the E-string position were raised. Aren't the poles in the A position supposed to be raised? What's up with this? Anybody know what may have happened and if it affects anything?
    Also, one of the screws on the neck plate seems to be stripped. It screws in ok, but doesn't seem to tighten completely. Will this affect the tightness and if so, what can be done to fix it? Thanks in advance.

    The A string pole pieces are supposed to be raised on the 57 RI. Sorry, can't help you about the neck bolts.

    Mine as the A string pole pieces raised.

    It's a 82' JV Japan serie.
