6 or 5 String

    Hi I'm looking at building a custom bass, probably fretless, off Warmoth and was wondering what I should build, a five or six string Gecko bass. I have played a 6 string in the past and didn't mind the neck but I hear I should go with the 5 instead.

    What should I do?

    You choose. There's really no upside or down side to either.. It just depends on what spects you have for the bass.

    I have a teacher that played a 6 string while he was at berklee, for 6 years he played it then he stoped hearing the C string, so he got a gary willis ibanez, now he's drooling over my pair of yamaha's.

    i'd say the best thing is to have 2 basses that are almost identical expcept one has frets and the other dosent
