I have two of these basses and have decided to sell one of them to make room for traditional J-style bass. I bought these basses with the intent of putting active electronics in them, which I will still do to the one I'm keeping. This is a mint condition NTB model which has, in my opinion, a better looking wood than the current brand new models. The wood tone has this really nice olive-brown color with some nice figuring/grain patterns that belie the "humble" price point of this bass. The wood on this one looks quite a bit better than the one I'm keeping, but since I've already shaved the upper horn on the one I'm keeping, I figured I'd sell the one I haven't modified.

I believe the fingerboard is Pau Ferro, but you'd be hard-pressed not to think it's macassar ebony. I have a Ken Smith bass with a macassar ebony fretboard and the coloring on the Grind bass is 98% similar. Heck, it might be ebony but don't quote me legally :bag:

    -Imbuya Body
    -Neck-thru construction
    -Matching headstock
    -Passive tones controls
    -$350 plus shipping
    -PayPal or Money Order

I'll throw in a $50 Roadrunner gig bag. Thanks

Oh, I meant to mention that, since I'm learning bass, I've only used this bass (along with a few others) for the past year for practice at home. Thanks

Bump for a man with a plan. I'm doing something similar myself. EMGs or Barts going in the one you're keeping?

Is this the version that has PEAVEY on the headstock?

I'm trying to decide between the following three options:

-EMG 45TWX pickups with EMG BQC preamp
-Delano SBC 6 HE/S-4 pickups with 3 band Glockenklang or Bartolini NTMB preamp
-Bartolini M56CBC pickups with 3 band Glockenklang or Bart NTMB

Before I decided to sell my second Grind, the EMG system was surely going into one of the basses...not sure now which system I'll go with now that I've decided to sell one of them. I'm favoring the Delano/Glock setup since I already have basses with the Bart CBCs and the EMG TWX configurations. These Grind basses will kill with active electronics. It was tough for me to decide to sell this bass, and I have a few other rather costly basses. I think with active electronics, the Grind is right up there with any of them.

I would be shipping from Atlanta. String spacing is very similar to the Modulus Quantum six string bass, which puts it at I'd say between 16.5mm and 17mm. See updated pics

Delanos are very clear, open, and aggressive with nice mid range bite. They are all about note separation/articulation
