I have nothing to do with this listing but in researching Klira basses and reading comments on them here I figured I'd give a heads up to the Klira enthusiasts here.

    1960's Violin Bass Guitar

One owner, $300. Seems like quite the deal.

You're welcome! I wish it were closer to me; I'd check it out in person for you. If he's willing to bring it to Eugene I'm game.

McKenzie music in Eugene Oregon now has it they purchased it from the person who had it on cl, they paid more than the cl price of $300 for it. There is a lag bolt through the heel of the neck not a good sign. They have to sit on it for two weeks until they can sell it. I have a feeling they are going to want more than it is worth .

I'll check in there in a few weeks and check it out anyway. I don't think I've ever played a Macca bass. Will post results. Stay tuned!

the most I ever paid was $495 a few years ago for a one in very nice condition with ohsc, it was missing the pick guard, most are.

  12. Could it be that the "bolt" is just a screw that was the original strap button location? It looks like someone put a new strap button right onto the heel.
This might be a nice one.... should I turn green with envy? I really would like one of these later models with the fancy stars on the head. Mine had the raised plastic script that popped off long before I was able to buy it. Never the less, I love the tone, playability and uniqueness of my Klira.
    Good luck, G of.T. 59
