    Hey all!

I wanted to know if anyone could tell whether or not a 60's Fender MIM reissue Jazz neck will fit on my Squier Affinity jazz body?

The neck pocket on my Affinity is 2.5 inches wide.

  2. The neck on my MIM60 is 63.75mm wide (measured at it's widest point); which equals 2.53". so my answer would be: yes

    Thanks for the reply!

I'm still worried, though. :( What's the depth of the neck pocket on your bass?
  4. 14mm

But, indeed, it should fit anyway... just a few attention for it, should it be glossy finished or not (it's a few months that there's room to opt between the two, whether in the past just the poly finished was around)

    One thing more:
between MIM standard and Squier Affinity... well, no dispute, but if your placin' a MIM Classic neck on your Affinity, pickups are not the same as well

So remember that necks play a huge role in sound but pickups on Classics are very good so mind your further options there;)

    Thanks guys!

Wallace, I have EMG passive pups in there right now, but I'm switching them out for SD Quarter Pounders. :)

I should be getting the neck this evening. I'll you know how everything works out.
