I have for sale (only) a very rare and special bass, a MIJ 65-66' Jazz Bass Reissue with Matching Headstock, Dots and Binding. The Binding is in excellent condition.

It's an incredible bass in a creamy Olympic White finish. The pics below do not do the color justice. There are no major dings or scratches on the bass. It's really in excellent condition. Neck straight, very stable and can adjust with very little relief / low action. MIJ/CIJ necks are incredible necks!
Bass weighs 9.3 Lbs on my Postal Digital Scales.

Selling this wonderful bass hurts. I only selling because I would like to pay off my recently acquired Sadowsky NYC Jazz Bass. This bass is a keeper! Paying off my NYC is the only reason it's for sale. However, I will not be upset if it it stays home. :)

Some changes / upgrades I did to the bass. I replaced the pickups with a set of Lollar Single Coil Pickups, replaced the stocks pots with a Obsidian Wire SOLDERLESS Deluxe Upgrade Wiring Harness Prewired Kit for Jazz Bass. See pic and link below. I replaced the stock pick-guard with a Fender 62' Reissue Pick-guard that I preferred the color with the finish. I replaced the stock tuners with a set of Hipshot Lollypop Tuners that were period correct some of the 65-66 Jazz Bass during the transition period.

Included with the sale is the , stock control plate, tuners and pick-guard. I do not have the stock pickups.

The bass will be shipped in a Sadowsky Soft Shell Case that is in pretty good condition. In full disclosure, there is some tearing on one of the handle straps.

I updated the original post. I realized I have a ObsidianWire SOLDERLESS Deluxe Upgrade Wiring Harness for Jazz Bass installed, not the Emerson. Sorry about that! They are similar. The Obsidian has solderless terminals.

I'm sorry, I don't know the year it was make. Never really thought much about it.

Edit: Look up the MIJ Site for serial numbers and it looks like either 94-95 or between 2007 -2010.

How can I find out when my Japanese-made instrument was manufactured?

I'm pretty sure they are the Fender 7250's. I usually have either the Fenders or Sunbeams on this bass.
