    Mike works on my basses.

I have been in a few times in the past week and have been drooling over a 65 P he has for sale. I almost pulled the trigger. He had a 66 J that he just sold.

Anyway, all original including case except......................
    obviously he refinished it
New pots. He has the original pots but they are frozen.

Mike is not into the ebay thing so there it sits in his shop. He is asking $ 4999.00 I think. Confirm with him if you are interested.

I've played that bass, it's a nice one. It's great living close to one of the best luthiers out there!

Jazz-width neck, swamp ash body, weighs in at 8 lbs even! It had a custom Duncan stacked humbucker in it originally but I had trouble getting the right string balance so I put in a Duncan QP single coil and it sounds awesome.

+1 on Brad's pbass sounding great.
Hey Brad you should get the j Mike has and then you would have a matching set.

Were you in there a couple weeks ago....on a Saturday playing it? I went in to pick up my Antoniotsai 7-string, that Mike did a bunch of fretwork on, and someone was playing that P. Sounded amazing. Mike said it was time to pay for his kid's college, so he had to let some basses go :smug:

Mike is the only guy I'll take my basses to for any kind of work :D

I don't know if I played that one or not. I just saw the one on the wall is the same color as your custom pbass.

After I get my Huff I'm going to Mike's place to get a custom p built.
I'm going to try to get him to make a copy of my '63.
    :D
