I've been looking for a Ibenez PGB1 signature series. They are high end. They don't even have a price tag. That exuberant.
That's almost half off... total bargain!
In the description it says the bridge has up to 1.5 mm adjustable spacing between strings.
Will this work with the same width neck? Does anybody know how this works?
And one more thing. I am the proud owner of a '76 pre-Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray. Attached is a photo of the pickup showing that the inner magnets are higher than the outer magnets, achieving the same distance between the strings as the curved HB-2 Bartolini pups on the $6500 Ibanez. Leo knew what he was doing back in '76.
This proves to me how shallow i am to be honest. If all i saw was, bass with cream of the crop woods handcrafted by Japan's top luthiers, loaded up with Bartolini pickups and a house-made preamp with mid-switching, I would see the price as entirely valid, however, upon seeing that it looks like a generic ibanez with a slightly fancier topwood, I find the price laughable.
A very rare bird. Good luck finding one!
Looks more like snobbery to me. But I can't claim not to be guilty as I find it laughable the amount of basically Fender clones that sell for enormous money too. I could have simply taken your post and swapped Ibanez for Fender.
The above post by hypercarrots indicates USA market only, so….
Looks like a nice bass but no I would not pay that price.
For that price you could get so much more for your money elsewhere...just why?
If I had $9000 to spend on a bass right now, I'd buy a house in New Zealand ...........
Except property is so incredibly expensive here. I mean, this is an extreme recent case, but...
Yeah, yeah, whero, I know.
Just teasing (I'm Australian, it's my job !)
But that's crazy grim, eh, same's happening here.
Real estate agents just shouldn't be allowed anywhere near auctions .........
Oh, and I wish we had a Jacinda like yours ! :^)
My thought is that if that bass sings to you its worth the money
If I had money for a house in New Zealand, I'd buy a 1951 P Bass.
