Does anyone know if there is a company that makes the lollipop tuners for a 66 jazz? I would like an original set, but I just can't see paying over 400 bucks for a set of tuners... Thanks in advance.

The 70's Fender retro tuners like on the Getty Lee basses (found on ebay for under $100) have large clover-leaf paddles. If you have shop skills, the upper 'hump' of the clover can be filed off and polished nicely. Hard to tell it apart from an original other than not having the "Fender" stamped on the plates. Way cheaper for the lollypop look. You also can find (used) 80's tuners (again, on ebay) that have the same larger paddle w/the smaller plates, like on G&L's. (for smaller headstocks)

Besides, the Hipshot machines are not authentic (blocky worm-gear posts)
