    Price:
    $2800.00
    Strings:
    4
    Location:
    Virginia
    Price Drop: $2800
Letting go my '69 Fender Precision Bass. This has been sitting for many years, was gigged for 30yrs by a buddy's Uncle... I acquired it but once I started on 5 string it has sat. Now decided to sell.
    Good:
    -1969 P
-Plays wonderfully, stays in tune and is in darn good shape for the vintage.
    -Matching HSC
    -Probable 2 owner provenance.
    Bad:
-There has been some sort of repair done around the neck plate on the back body with an added Hendrix burn or odd pint/glue job many years ago. I was going to fix/refinish it but was told to leave it alone.
-Pots seem to/could have been replaced as I've done research and was told they are possibly/likely 84 vintage.
    Will listen to trade offers.
Price NOW $2800 is shipped CONUS.
LMK if you have any questions or an offer.

Not sure, I will weigh when I get home tonight. Don't remember it being too heavy but it's been a while. LIM, only doing 5's now. That B string weighs a bunch:).

    Nice!
I've wanted to buy another P-Bass from around '66-'70 for a while now.
    I had a '66 when I was younger that I foolishly sold.
    It's a beauty!
    GLWTS!

I've owned a lot of early 70's Fenders.
If this bass is legit other than changed pots, it is a very fair deal.
The original finish, pups, weight, and I assume a straight neck is not that easy to find for anywhere close to this price.
I don't think you can touch an original mid 70's for less than $2,200.

Look at the sold 1969 P basses on Reverb

    Hi Jim,
Yes it's real, a good buddy's uncle owned it and the amp in my avatar - would've loved to hear that combo, and we traded for a bunch of stuff as he's a guitar player. Now though, as mentioned I'm only a 5'er so GAS calls. Thanks for the comment / feedback!

Why oh why couldn't this have been just one year older. Been looking for a fair priced '68 for a long time. GLWTS.

68-72 Precisions are killer basses. Pre-CBS DNA with a B width neck. This is a screamin’ good deal and somebody is getting a “Go to work for the next 35 years” bass.....
    Got a ‘70 that I’ll never sell.

Still available - really not looking for any more basses. Pretty much need to go cash. Only GAS I have - and it is slight, is for an NV15 cab but even that is a want more than need. Thanks for the offers though.
