    2017 Gibson EB bass (purchased new in August of this year)
    New condition other than a pro setup with new D'addario strings (Saturday)
    Nice low action
    This bass sounds and plays awesome! The controls are V-V-T. Push pull volume pots split the coils on each pickup separately. Lots of different configurations available.

    7.4 Lbs!!! With the extended upper horn this bass hangs perfectly.
    1.625" nut
    12" fretboard radius
    Babicz full contact bridge (really nice and easy to adjust)
    Grover tuners (smooth & excellent ratio for fine tuning)
    light swamp ash body, quartersawn 3 piece maple set neck, rosewood fretboard

    Comes in a super thick padded Gibson gig bag with all of the original extras (Trussrod & bridge tools, Gibson strap, owner's manual, blank warranty card, inspection checklist, picture of the bass on the test bench)
    The bass will be packed in the original Gibson box with all of the factory packing materials (and extra just to be safe)

    Save a couple hundred bucks on a like new bass!

    These are pretty cool looking basses and ....that weight! For whatever reason the 2019s seem to have gone up in price too. I couldn’t tell what, if anything, had changed between the newer ones and the 2017. GLWTS!!!!

    Is the scale length on these 34”? Alnico 5 pickups, 24 frets....I really don’t need another bass, I really don’t need another.....

    I have been watching this bass, and being tempted to buy it, ever since you put it up for sale. That’s a very good price on a nice bass (I personally think that the sunburst version looks nicer than the “unfinished-looking” natural finish does). It’s just that I have far too many basses already ..... and too little spare money!

    PS — I also really appreciate your POW/MIA profile picture! My father was a POW in WWII and I am a USMC veteran.
