7-string sets

Discussion in 'Strings [BG]' started by cjazz50, Jun 9, 2001.

  1. What companines make 7-string sets? The only ones I've see so far are Conklin and Ken Smith. (I know that some other company makes the Conklin strings, but I can't remember which one.) Do any companies make sets that would work on a 35" bass?

Dean Markley makes a 7 string set and as AFAIK they make the Conklin sets too. SR2000 is what they are called and the set # is DMS 2698C. The gauges are .022, .027, .047, .067, .087, .107, .127.
These sets are taperwound so depending on the bass they may or may not work. As far as fitting a 35" scale, this will not be a problem. What bass are these going on?
